Flying

​

If you are flying to the UK for the wedding and don't plan to spend any time in London beforehand, we recommend that you look for flights into Bristol if possible as it’s the closest airport to Bath and our wedding venue in Yeovil. However, flights to London are likely to be cheaper. If you do fly to London, then Heathrow or Gatwick are easiest, although flights to any London airport will get you there. We use flights.google.com for flight hunting.

Train

​

If you are travelling to Bath before the wedding by train, look for tickets to Bath Spa station. If you land at Heathrow, the quickest way to get to Bath is to take the Heathrow Express to Paddington and change there for Bath Spa.

If you are arriving by train to Brympton House on Sunday, look for trains to Yeovil Pen Mill or Yeovil Junction - both are a short taxi ride away from our wedding venue. There are frequent direct trains from London Waterloo to Yeovil Junction and from Bristol and Bath Spa to Yeovil Pen Mill.

Driving

For Americans considering renting a car, please be aware that driving in the UK is very different! We drive on the wrong side, the roads can be as narrow as a bike path, and the roundabouts are terrifying. Parking in the centre of Bath can be very difficult and public transport from London airports to Bath is generally much easier.

 

Shuttle

​

If you’re travelling from London in a group and have a lot of luggage, it may be easier and cost effective to take a private shuttle. Some shuttle services even offer an add-on to visit Stonehenge on the way to Bath!
